Reynan Dal-Anay from the Tigwahanon Manobo of Bukidnon lorded over his rivals in the second season of The Voice Kids Philippines.
Reynan, who is one of the representatives of Coach Lea Salonga, garnered 32.98% of the votes after his emotional cover of Asin’s “Itanong Mo Sa Mga Bata” last Saturday.
“Talagang wala akong masabi, kinikilabutan ako hanggang ngayon. Ang ganda lang nun, ang ganda ganda ng performance na ‘yun, congratulations talaga sa’yo. Wala na akong maisasabi, ang ganda ganda lang talaga,” Lea said during the live show.
Reynan also touched the crowd as he performed a medley of”Saranggola ni Pepe” and “Ang Pipit” with Sassa Dagdag of Kamp Kawayan and Kyle Echarri of Team Sarah on Sunday.
Reynan first caught people’s attention when he turned all three chairs during TVK’s blind auditions. He sang “Tagumpay Nating Lahat”, which was originally performed by his Coach Lea.

“Hindi dapat ikahiya kung ano ang mayroon tayo dahil iyon po ang makapag-aangat sa atin,” he said during his debut on the show.
Reynan then advanced to TVK’s live shows after a touching interpretation of the gospel classic “Amazing Grace”.
“Na-touch mo ang puso ko, at ng mga nanonood. Isa kang amazing grace sa tribo mo. Congratulations sa coach mo at sa ‘yo,” Coach Sarah Geronimo said of his performance.
Reynan also stamped his class during the sing offs when he performed Aegis’ “Lupa” along with Angel Enerio and Rovelyn Marquesa.
Even before all this, Reynan was already singing in small gatherings in their community, and many YouTube videos of him performing when he was younger are hitting viral status.
Reynan is among four kids who have advanced to the finals of the show, along with Esang De Torres of Lea Salonga’s team, and Sassa and Elha Nympha of Bamboo’s team.
Esang was a far second with 19.24% of the votes, Elha finished with 18.23%, and Sassa got 13.71%.
