Charged: Ex-BF who slashed a Filipina OFW in SG

On Sunday, Allen Remedios Adolfo, a 38-year-old domestic worker in Singapore, was reportedly slashed with a 7cm-long penknife by her ex-boyfriend Palaiyan Murugadass, 41.

The attack allegedly happened at around 6:30pm on Sunday at Tampines area, while she was on her way home to her employers.

According to The Straits Times, Murugadass allegedly slashed Adolfo “her face, left wrist area and slit her throat, causing a deep and gaping wound, which will likely cause permanent scars.”

She is thankfully in stable condition, inside the hospital, her employers have said. 

Today, Wednesday, he was charged with causing grievous hurt in court. No plea was taken from him.

While the police continues its investigation, Murugadass, a construction worker, will remain at the Bedok police division.

“If convicted, he faces a jail term of up to 15 years and fine or caning,” notes The Straits Times.
