The streak continues for the romantic comedy That Thing Called Tadhana! The movie is nominated for Best Narrative Feature in the annual Guam International Film Festival.

Tadhana, which earned a cult following thanks to its charming dialog and low-key production, will be screened as a GIFF centerpiece film on Sep 26.

Angelica Panganiban, the film’s lead actress, also seized a nomination for Achievement in Acting.

Interestingly, Angelica will be going up against a fellow Kapamilya actor in the Achievement in Acting category. Kid Kulafu star Robert ‘Buboy’ Villar was also recognized for his portrayal of boxing champion Manny Pacquiao.

Kid Kulafu, which is about the begginings of “The Pacman”,  also made it to the GIFF official selection. It will be screened on Sep 27.

That Thing Called Tadhana and Kid Kulafu join more than 50 other films, including movies from the 2015 Festival de Cannes, Sundance, Busan, BiFan and more.

The festival will also showcase 4 world premieres, 10 international premieres, 14 US premieres, 21 Pacific Asian premieres, 4 Guam premieres and 5 return engagements.
