Norman Balbuena, better known as Boobay, is lending his voice and his bekimon chops to GMA’s latest remake of Marimar. As the voice behind Marimar’s pet dog, Fulgoso, Boobay is most definitely making the canine bonggalicious indeed.
In an interview with PEP.ph, Boobay narrated how he broke the news to her best friend and former Marimar star, Marian Rivera.
“Kinuwento ko sa kanya [Marian], sabi ko, ‘My labs, ano, ako si Fulgoso!’ Sabi niya, ‘Ha? Ikaw? Bakit, anong mangyayari sa kanya?’ Sabi ko, ‘Bakla siya!’”
Boobay admits the role is tough, as he does not get to interact with any actors in a scene.
“Kapag nagda-dubbing ka, hindi ka kasama sa taping, hindi ko nakikita ang nangyayari. Dapat malakas ‘yung imagination mo para tama ang emotion na naibibigay mo,” he told GMA News.
