“Land Transportation Office (LTO) chief Alfonso Tan Jr. announced that some (LTO) branches in Metro Manila will be open on Saturdays to address the agency’s backlog of 900,000 driver’s license cards,” reports Robertzon Ramirez in The Philippine Star.
Tan explained that they “decided to open on Saturdays so motorists who work on weekdays will be able to get their cards at select LTO offices in Metro Manila.”
The licensing offices in Quezon, San Juan, and Pasay cities and the district offices in Makati, Quezon, Marikina, Pasig, Valenzuela and Manila South will be open on Saturdays.
Applicants can also go to the LTO extension offices in Caloocan, Las Piñas, Muntinlupa, Parañaque, Taguig, La Loma, and Mandaluyong.
