GMA is reviving the artista search that started it all.

Starstruck returns on Philippine TV on Sep 7. Primetime King Dingdong Dantes and Miss World 2013 and Starstruck Avenger Megan Young will be taking on the hosting duties.

Before hitting the big leagues, Megan, then 15 years old, was an aspiring survivor in the second season of the show which aired in 2005. Since then, she has become a household name and was even able to sign with ABS-CBN. In 2013, she became the first Miss Philippines to win Miss World.

Megan is now back to being an exclusive Kapuso star. Aside from taking on the role of Marimar, she is also is hosting the show that jumpstarted her career.

“Starstruck opened a lot of opportunities for me. And now that I’m one of the hosts, I’m excited to guide them to reach their dreams,” Megan tells GMA, as she gears up for the upcoming season.

The Council or the judges of the show also has a star-studded lineup: Jennylyn Mercado, Joey de Leon, and Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid.

We’ll also be hearing from Starstruck‘s legion of contestants who have been able to make a name in showbiz. Expect to see more of Season 1 Ultimate Male Survivor Mark Herras, Season 5 Second Prince Rocco Nacino, Starstruck Kids First Prince Miguel Tanfelix, and Season 4 Ultimate Female Survivor Kris Bernal. They will be giving fans some updates on how the participants are faring in the various challenges.

Starstruck airs Sep 7, Mondays to Friday before 24 Oras on GMA.
