Could Vice Ganda break the internet with this? The popular ABS-CBN host is on the cover of Mega Magazine’s September issue — the first openly gay man featured on the cover.

Mega likes to say, this is Vice is ‘reimagined’. It was shot in a scenic lavender fields in Hokkaido, Japan, by none other than BJ Pascual. Vice got a pretty winning team: Juan Sarte took care of make-up while Rain P. Dalaga and Jef Fronda took care of styling. Creative direction is by Suki Salvador. The pretty pastel dresses he’s wearing? They’re by young fashion designer Michael Levya.

The issue, which is Mega’s big fashion edition, has a lot of feature stories set in and around Asia. But the spotlight, of course, is on Vice: his childhood days in Tondo, how he keeps his acts fresh, and how he deals with the haters. It will be available nationwide on Sep 9.

While you decide if that cover is Havey o Waley, here are some behind-the-scenes look at MEGA’s shoot in Japan.
