After much running around, the star-crossed non-lovers finally get a glimpse of each other in the Saturday episode of Eat Bulaga‘s famed Kalye Serye.
It happened in a hallway covered with a beach wallpaper. They did the pabebe wave a few times, walked slowly toward each other, not quite sure it’s really happening.
The two have famously not met in real life ever so many fans and viewers thought and hoped that today will be the day, when they were going to go up against each other in a Wild Card Challenge of Bulagaan Pa More segment of the show. It will entail Maine going to the studio, where Alden is stationed.
But Lola Nidora had Alden and Maine promise they won’t try to see each other.
Maine stayed at a holding area while Alden performed. And Alden was brought to a holding room backstage — complete with coconuts, mind — while Maine was showcasing her drumming capabilities.
But the two, perhaps fuelled by love, felt compelled to run to each other. And so run, they did, all around the studio, missing each other over and over and over again. Finally, they see each other in the hallway, but Lola Nidora had a point to prove.
Just as they were near each other, a wall prop fell between them.
All thanks to a disgruntled Lola Nidora.
But here’s the rub. While Alden and Yaya Dub were separated by the wall, two hoodlums kidnapped Yaya Dub.
Lola Nidora says she didn’t know anything about the abduction.
