How cool is that?

To get in the three-day Performatura festival, organized by The Cultural Center of the Philippines, you only need to bring a book! Well, three books if you want to attend all three days because one book equals a day pass.

It’s happening on Nov 6-8, right on time during National Reading Month, if we may add — in various venues inside the CCP Complex. And it boasts of over 200 local and international participating performers and artists.

Who these performers and artists are, we are also put on standby but CCP has this much to share about the fest: there will be 10 performance sites that feature different types of, well, literary performances. The CCP Café for instance will be the venue for talks by National Artists for Literature. The Park is where all the poetry reading will be, CCP’s three galleries will be holding three special exhibitions, and so on.

Your books will be for the benefit the CCP’s Aklatang Bayan program, led by the Center’s Library and Archives Division and the Cultural Exchange Department.
