Who will Vice Ganda endorse in 2016?

Vice Ganda admits many aspiring politicians have approached him to get his unwavering support for the upcoming 2016 elections. But the comedian, aware of his wide reach and influence, acknowledges he can get really picky when it comes to endorsing a person and joining their campaign sorties.

“Kasi yung iboboto ko, magkamali man ako, wala namang ibang ano, di ba? Pero yung mang-impluwensiya ka, kailangan ko talagang pag-isipan,” Vice told pep.ph.

So far, those who have declared their intention to run for president in 2016 are Vice President Jejomar Binay, DILG Sec. Mar Roxas, and Sen. Grace Poe.

The It’s Showtime host, who initially rooted for Rodrigo Duterte, says he is still undecided about his Chosen One.

“Gusto ko sana si [Rodrigo] Duterte, pero di naman siya tatakbo. Hindi ko pa alam… nag-iisip-isip pa ako,” he shared.

Many had speculated Vice would support Sec. Roxas because of Mar’s attendance in the recent “Keri Beks: The First National Gay Congress”. But the 39-year-old comedian clarified, he was at the event for his fellow gay advocates.

“Sabi ko, ‘Baklaan ‘to, walang banggitan ng pangalan, walang ano. I will be there for the beks, not for anyone,’” he said.

Vice also assured his fans he will not be influenced by his relationship with Kapamilya host Kris Aquino, the sister of President Noynoy Aquino. Pres. Aquino is leading the Liberal Party and has recently endorsed Sec. Roxas for President.

Vice said Kris has never gone up to him to ask him to endorse anyone.

“Yun ang kagandahan sa aming dalawa ni Kris, hindi namin direktang ini-impluwensiyahan ang isa’t isa,” he explained.

Hopefully, it stays that way!
