While TGIFriday’s in the Philippines is just a 20-something millennial, in the global scheme of things, the food chain is actually 50 freakin’ years old!

For its birthday, Friday’s is shaking up its menu every three months with exciting new dishes. From now to November? TGIFriday’s is in a New York state of mind.

Corporate Executive Chef Josh Boutwood whipped up six new delicious NY-inspired dishes and then, of course, slyly puts a nice Pinoy twist to them. Read on and salivate!

1. Big Apple Burger (PHP595). Instead of using the usual barbecue sauce and some pickles to make a flavor profile, Chef Josh used apples to give the burger a sweet and sour taste that’s just right to make the favor of the beef come through! It’s the Big Apple, literally! (Photo: See above)

TGIFridays crispy chicken meatball

2. The Bronx Crispy Chicken Parmesan Meatballs (PHP295). A bite of this hearty dish will transport you to New York’s Little Italy. Succulent meatballs filled with mozzarella cheese, soaked in a pool of marinara sauce and topped with more mozzarella!

TGIFrdays hotdog

3. Madison Hotdog (PHP350). Can you resist this all-time American favorite? It’s no dirty water dog because sure, but it sounds a whole lot better. Char-grilled local Anduille sausage wrapped in an herb crusted bun and smothered with pickled cucumber, mustard and mayo.

TGIFridays almond crusted tilapia

4. Queens Almond-Crusted Tilapia and Jalapeno Shrimp (PHP595). A must try! The flavors of the Jalapeno Shrimp, Lemon sauce and rice pilaf is like a match made in heaven.

TGIFridays stuffed chicken
5. Manhattan Sausage Stuffed Chicken (PHP495). With pilaf rice on the side side, Chef Josh gave this dish the supreme Pinoy treatment. You’ll be surprised at how each layer of flavor will hit your taste buds! Heavenly Italian sausage wrapped in tender chicken breasts on pesto sauce and pilaf rice.

TGIFridays peanut butter jelly milkshake

6. Broadway Peanut Butter Jelly Milkshake (PHP 245). It’s a sweet and dense concoction of vanilla ice cream, blueberry jam and lily’s peanut butter! If you’re not big on sweets, you can ask the server to divide the drink into two, that’s what we did and we still ended up feeling stuffed!
