Instituto Cervantes’ annual Spanish film festival “Pelicula Pelikula” is on track with at least 30 movies up its sleeve! It will run from Oct 8 until Oct 18 at the Greenbelt 3 Cinema 1, and in Intramuros from Oct 19 to Oct 25.
The first leg features five screening times per day: 2pm, 4:30pm, 7pm, 9:30pm, and finally, 12am. Movie tickets are at PHP100 each.
Much like the previous editions, this year’s ‘Pelicula’ will be graced by Spanish film luminaries, among them Y Tu Mama Tambien star Maribel Verdu. If you want to watch the Spanish actress, be there on Oct 9, either at 4:30pm or 7pm, when she will be presenting two of her movies.
On Oct 12, Spanish journalist Ramon Vilaro will present his documentary De Aliados a Masacrados during the 9:30pm screening time.
Czech filmmaker Lenka Kny is also gracing the event, presenting her romcom, Milagro en Praga, on Oct 14 during the 7pm screening.
