This is all in the name of teeth.

“The Sandiganbayan anti-graft court on Tuesday, October 6, granted the motion of Senator Bong Revilla to leave his detention for five days to undergo dental procedures,” reports Elizabeth Marcelo on GMA News Online.

The report revealed that the decision was made during “a short hearing on Revilla’s motion Tuesday morning, with Sandiganbayan First Division chairman Associate Justice Efren Dela Cruz declaring in open court that the division resolves to grant Revilla’s motion ‘for humanitarian consideration.'”

Revilla, who’s facing charges in connection with the pork barrel scam, is allowed to leave his detention on Oct 10, 12, 15, 17, and 19 at 2 p.m. to undergo dental procedures at the Gan Advanced Osseointegration Center (GAOC), which is located at the ground floor of The Residences, Greenbelt Center in Makati.

In his motion dated October 1, Revilla said his personal dentist at the GAOC, Dr. Kristine Shieh, has advised him to undergo additional treatment following the dental surgical procedures he underwent last month.

Indeed, last month Revilla went through the following procedures at GAOC: irrigation of tooth canal, suture or stitches removal, as well as impression and adjustments of upper and lower stayplate dentures.

As of 12:52pm on Tue, Oct 6, the Sandiganbayan had yet to issue a formal ruling as of posting time.
