Drake’s latest single, “Hotline Bling,” has been quite the hit lately — thanks to the weird dance moves the Canadian rapper employed in the song’s official music video.
It reminded one smart-ass Pinoy netizen of an old video showing a group of drunk manongs dancing to electronic music like they were European white trash high on ecstasy.
So he did something brilliant.
He made a “Hotline Bling” video featuring the drunk manongs. His video title: “Drake’s Hotline Bling Backup Dancers Audition.”
Since it was uploaded on Oct 26, Neil dela Cruz’s video has been viewed 90,000 times and shared by nearly 2,000 users.
“I really love the song and thought of making a meme about it and these drunk guys,” Dela Cruz told Coconuts Manila. “I didn’t expect that it would go viral because my friends didn’t like it. It was only until an officemate shared it on her wall.”
