Last Saturday, Eat Bulaga! ate It’s Showtime for lunch.
The Dabarkads, with its “Tamang Panahon” concert presentation garnered a whopping 50.8% in the AGB Nielsen ratings. It’s Showtime meanwhile scored a measly 5.4%. So that’s probably why Vice Ganda’s speech was such big news on Sunday; nobody heard it.
PEP.ph published the entire AGB ratings report for the week of Oct 19-25 noted that the Oct 24 rating of Eat Bulaga! is the highest ever for this year. “It is also higher than the 48.9% rating taken by Pacquiao vs Bradley 2: Manny Pacquiao vs Timothy Bradley telecast on GMA-7 last year.”
The ratings report showed that Claudine Barretto’s Maalala Mo Kaya comeback wasn’t the expected, well-celebrated affair. It only garnered 18.1% versus GMA’s Magpakailanman, which was at 23.1%.
And you know what else? Sunday Pinasaya won over ASAP with a 24% rating. The Kapamila Sunday variety show had a modest 8.5%.
