Okay now, everyone say it loud and clear: “Yes!”

Summit Media is printing more copies of the November issue of Yes! Magazine with Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza (aka AlDub) on the cover, the publishers announced on Twitter and Instagram this morning.

The issue flew off the shelves as soon as it hit newsstands last Oct 23.

We all know what a great magazine Yes! is — their showbiz stories are often better-written than most newspapers’ investigative stories. It’s also the only magazine in the Philippines read by everyone, from yaya to señora.

Speaking of señoras, lifestyle icon Daphne Oseña Paez, an AlDub early adapter, was one of those who were able to grab her copy of the magazine before it sold out.

“I found Yes! at National Book Store Rockwell. They had two copies. I didn’t know about the special Aldub issue and I even hesitated getting it. I actually put it back in the shelf, then last-minute added it to my shopping cart,” she tells Coconuts Manila.

“It’s a great issue because it went beyond ‘fandom’. There’s a comprehensive interview with Jenny Ferre (SVP of Television and Production Exponents Philippines Inc or TAPE Inc.) and Producer of Eat Bulaga! She told the story of how Aldub started, how she hired Maine Mendoza based on gut feel (she saw Maine’s Dubsmash videos being shared on her Facebook wall).

“Jenny was the one who thought of introducing Alden and Yaya Dub via split screen. Though everything was spontaneous and unscripted that day they met — Yaya’s self conscious smile, Alden’s amusement, Allan K’s teasing it was Jenny who thought of setting it up based on one of the staff (on remote location) saying that Maine had a real crush on Alden. The rest was her creative genius. The character sketches of Lola Nidora, Lola Tidora and Lola Tinidora were based on typical female characters that she came across with in real life,” she says.
