We would normally be cautious about taking tips from a half-naked, bald-headed, tattoed man, but this helpful Pinoy from General Santos City seems to know what he’s talking about. On a video he uploaded on Facebook, user Bhaneng Venus demonstrates how easy it is to hack into a locked luggage.
In under 35 seconds, he slices open the zipper of an overnight trolley bag by stabbing the zipper’s chain with a pencil lead, stuffs two knives into the luggage, then slides the zipper back in place.
The point of the video is to show viewers how easy it is for crooks to plant stuff (like a bullet?) inside an unsuspecting passenger’s luggage.
His recommendation? Secure your baggage with a plastic wrap, like what these two backpackers at NAIA last week. (Read: How to avoid being a ‘tanim-bala’ victim)
