Every once in a while, somebody claims to see Jesus Christ on some unusual object. It’s not for us to judge if these claims are true — after all, Jesus is in the eye of the beholder.
This Facebook video posted by February Grenade Strong shows an image of what appears to be Jesus Christ on the trunk of a banana tree located in Lopez Jaena, Misamis Occidental.
The first person to stumble upon the image was a police officer named Rommel Ponce, who was looking for a missing chicken.
According to the person who posted the video on the Facebook page of TV Patrol Northern Mindanao, some residents of Lopez Jaena are now offering prayers and candles to the image.
The Catholic church, meanwhile, has yet to give a statement about the supposed image of Jesus Christ, reports Dynah Diestro on ABS-CBN News Northern Mindanao.
