“Dominique Cojuangco, the only daughter of Gretchen Barretto and Antonio ‘Tony Boy’ Cojuangco is the Philippines’ representative in this year’s Le Bal des Débutantes in Paris, France,” reports ABS-CBN Push.
Dominique and Gretchen recently revealed the milestone via their Instagram accounts.
Described as an international high society event, the ball was created by Ophélie Renouard in 1992. She envisioned it as a haute couture gathering where 20 to 25 girls aged 16 to 22 from prestigious families of about a dozen countries wear gowns from renowned designers. Since 2009, the ball has sponsored Enfants d’Asie, an organization whose advocacy is to provide education for girls in Southeast Asia.
