Hah!

Four hours after it was first reported in the media, the Land Transportation Office just suspended its grand plans for the future.

After Senate President Franklin Drilon and Senate Pro Tempore Ralph Recto questioned its implementation, the LTO is suspending its plan of requiring applicants for professional drivers license to present NBI clearances.

According to this Inquirer.net report, it was Recto who suggested suspending the administrative orders saying it will just be an added burden to the people.

“Delayed na yung license plate, delayed pa yung driver’s license, pahihirapan na naman natin yung ordinaryong nagmamaneho at naghahanap-buhay,” Recto said.

There is no word about differentiating the examinations that professional and non-pro license applicants will have to take.
