Viral: K-pop band J Morning performs ‘Anak’ acoustic style

Looks like this K-pop band is a huge OPM fan.

J Morning recently uploaded a video on the Internet showing two members of the band performing Freddie Aguilar’s “Anak” in J Morning’s “acoustic style”.

“Because many people from the Philippines requested ‘Anak’ we sang it in J Morning’s acoustic style. This is out gift for you because we are thankful for you all. We love you, Philippines. We thanks [sic] you, Philippines,” the band writes in the caption.

K-pop followers, of course, know that this isn’t the first time — or the first Filipino song — that the frequent Philippine visitors perform.

As early as 2012, J Morning already included “Anak” in their set list, performing it while touring the Philippines that year. In August, it sang it again in a concert in Korea.

Meanwhile, “Pusong Bato”, that song Jovit Baldivinio popularized in 2013, has made its way into J-Morning’s set list, too.

Interesting song choices, to say the least.

Wow!! This is “Pusong Bato” by J Morning, the k-pop band! Because you showed your love for the song, “Opm anak” we performed, we want to give you another song we love, “Opm pusong Bato”.We sang this song with our love and longing for you all. We’d love you to enjoy it.We were so happy while we were recording. We are going to perform this song we love ‘Opm’ in J-Morning style. We love you, Philippines!!We thank you, Philippines!!(Full version)https://youtu.be/bJHiA0ajodc
