Dingdong Dantes just gave his first interview since becoming a dad

At 5:25am on Monday, Marian Rivera gave birth to a healthy baby girl, Maria Letizia.

It was a normal delivery after a full day of labor, and says Dingdong on his first interview since becoming a father, he was really more alert than emotional. He needed to make sure his wife and child are safe and sound.

Speaking with GMA-7’s Nelson Canlas on Tuesday night, Dingdong said he witnessed a miracle. “Kasi talagang nagkaroon siya ng buhay sa harap ng mga tao. I really saw her sa kanyang paglabas. Narinig ko ang kanyang unang pag-iyak. ‘Yon talaga yung isa sa mga pinaka-precious na moment sa kasaysayan ng buhay ko talaga,” he shares.

As for the new mother, Dingdong said Marian is recovering well. “Maganda yung kanyang recovery. I’m so proud of her. Kumbaga, yung kanyang na-foresee na gusto niyang maging ganito ka-dedicated na mother, alam na alam kong kayang-kaya niya ito gampanan. Especially after what she went through, alam ko na mas empowered siya to do so. At Nandiyan ako para suportahan siya.”
