From the makers of the mobile game “Anne Galing” (inspired by Anne Curtis), “The Adventures of Kuya Kim” (inspired by Kim Atienza) and more, comes “Sarah G Popsters”, a mobile game inspired by…Sarah Geronimo.

It was created by Xeleb, the first celebrity mobile games company in the Philippines, which is a subsidiary of Xurpas Inc.

The objective of “Sarah G Popsters” is to follow Sarah G on her tour and pop as many colorful balloons as you can.

You get to unlock an original Sarah G song at the end of each level, where the Pop Princess herself will congratulate you and break into song to celebrate your success.

It sounds a wee bit simple but for the frantic MRT commuter, the game is addictive enough, challenging and most importantly entertaining.

“It’s not something for the hardcore gamers,” Xurpas Chief Marketing Officer Cholo Tagaysay said. “It’s presented in a way where you have smaller goals and can play for five or ten minutes at a time. It’s a new way for fans to interact with their idol.”

Original Sarah G songs featured in the game are “Kilometro”, “Tayo”, and “Sa Iyo”.

“Kinikilig ako nung ako nung narinig ko yung sarili ko,” Sarah G laughs during the game’s launch on Tuesday evening. “I am also very happy because they used my original songs for the tracks.”

Tagaysay boasted that they developed “Sarah G Popsters” in a record time of five months; it usually takes them 12 to 16 months to fully develop a game.

At the launch last night, both he and Sarah hinted that they have “big surprises” in store for the players of game. But what they are remain a surprise.

Sarah G Popsters” is now available for download on Google Play.
