After five years as a Kapuso, Elmo Magalona has jumped ship and is now a Kapamilya.
He signed a contract with ABS-CBN on Thursday and was immediately paired with Janella Salvador. He will be co-managed by his mother, Pia Magalona, and Star Magic, ABS-CBN’s talent arm.
Magalona and Salvador will appear on a television series entitled Born for You, which hits the small screen in 2016.
“Hindi ko naman po iniiwan yung five years na experience na binigay sa akin ng GMA. That’s what put me into this one. Yun po ang nag-mold sa akin,” Magalona told ABS-CBNnews.com.
While he’s not particularly expecting instant success, Magalona is hopeful his career will take off now that he’s a Kapamilya.
