Luneta Hotel is closed until further notice

Heads up, Manileños, Luneta Hotel has been temporarily closed since Nov 25, Wednesday, pending a change in management.

Its website has removed the online booking function, and third-party hotel booking sites have also unlisted the property.

When Coconuts Manila rang the hotel’s reservation hotline, we were informed that “an incident happened” last week that resulted in the abrupt decision to stop accepting walk-ins and F&B guests in the meantime.

However, bookings made prior to Nov 25 are being honored.

The six-storey hotel, which occupies a heritage building, was formally reopened in June 12, 2014, after expensive renovation that restored details of its original architecture.

The hotel first opened in 1918 and was abandoned the past few decades, until new owners Beaumont Holdings successfully renovated it while working closely with the National Historical Commission of the Philippines.

Coconuts Manila has reached out to Luneta Hotel for a statement and will update this story as soon as we have it.
