Cristine Reyes postpones December wedding to January

Appearing on Kris TV Tuesday morning, Cristine Reyes said she and fiancé Ali Khatibi decided to moved their planned December wedding to January.

And instead of having a formal wedding, they’re prepping for a laidback and intimate beach event in Balesin.

Reyes said it was the stress of planning, coupled with her busy schedule with a new teleserye and the fact that they’re building a new house that led them to move the wedding.

Balesin was where they originally planned to hold their pre-nuptial pictorial. “Bayad na yun, so sabi namin, dalhin na lang namin doon sina pastor tapos doon na lang magpakasal,” said Reyes.

The two were engaged in September this year, months after Cristine gave birth to their baby girl Amarah in February.

“Originally yung wedding, gusto namin sa garden lang ng house kaso yung house hindi natapos. Iyon talaga ang plano, backyard wedding,” she said.

At least they’re getting the same intimate and laidback wedding they wanted all along.
