Miss Philippines is in 2015 Miss Universe Top 5, first in line during the Q&A!

It doesn’t matter that Miss Philippines Pia Wurtzbach tripped a little during the evening gown competition because she made it to the Top 5. Where white was the popular color in the evening gown competition, Miss Philippines Pia Wurtzbach looked stunning in her royal blue gown.

Miss Philippines was the only Asian to make it to the Top 5. The other four were Miss USA, Miss Colombia, Miss Australia and Miss France.

Pia was the first candidate to be called for the question and answer portion. Unlike previous editions, questions this year were based on current events in each candidate’s country. 

Pia was asked what she thought of American military bases returning to the country. Pia cited that the fact that the Philippines used to be an American colony, how Filipinos have adapted to American culture and that there were already military bases before.

She said the two countries have always had good relations, and so she didn’t mind having American military bases in the Philippines. Considering the pageant is being held in Las Vegas, USA, well played, Pia.
