Vice Ganda threw a thanksgiving dinner on Sun, Jan 17 for two reasons: (1) he wanted to thank a select group of entertainment reporters for their unwavering support and (2) Vice had a feat to celebrate: the Metro Manila Film Festival entry Beauty and The Bestie just breached the PHP500 million mark. It is now the highest grossing Filipino movie of all time.
Star Cinema announced via Instagram that Beauty and The Bestie has breached the PHP500 million mark as of last Sat, Jan 16.
And as though to humble brag, the figure, they say, doesn’t include the international screenings of the movie.
According to Vice, they never even considered breaking any records. And at the end of the day, it’s still all about content.”
He admitted 2015 was one hell of a tough year but “hindi nga ako nawalan ng pag-asa kasi alam ko na pinapatikim lang ako ni Lord ng mapait ngayon para mas ma-appreciate ko yung tamis pagpasok ng Bagong Taon na totoo namang nangyari.
On Instagram, Vice thanked “the madlang people” for the support. With a report from push.abs-cbn.com
