Isabelle Claisse’s beauty has become more pronounced with her new look.
Not only does it emphasize her killer cheekbones, it’s also a striking reminder of her kindness.
Claisse is the Singapore-based British lawyer we wrote about last month who shaved off her hair outside a bar to help raise at funds for her Filipina helper of six years, Mariza Cañete.
Cañete’s 10-year-old son in the Philippines was diagnosed with a potentially-fatal type of bone cancer in Oct 2015. Surgery and hospitalization costs for the treatment have been estimated to cost more than PHP4 million.
“A lot of people will probably think I’m soft about it, but it feels like a moral imperative to me to do everything I can,” Claisse had told Singapore’s Straits Times.
As of writing, Claisse and her husband have raised about PHP3 million (SGD$90,000) for Cañete’s son. Claisse is willing to make a loan in order to reach their target.
This is on top of the PHP306,000 they had raised earlier on Generosity.com.
Cañete is now back in Cebu to help her son with his recovery. Her employer, Cañete said, had always treated her like a sister.
