Netizens are giving kudos to a traffic enforcer who refused to yield to the pleas, threats, and name dropping of a colorum driver caught loading passengers in a non-loading zone.
The incident happened near the border of Pasig City and Rizal yesterday and was recorded on video by Facebook user Lenard Bernardo.
The officer is seen asking for the driver’s license after he informed him of his violations, but the latter refused to budge.
He claimed to be under the employ of Senator JV Ejercito. He even threatened the traffic enforcer that he may lose his job if he insisted on getting his license and issuing him a violation ticket.
When the traffic enforcer refused to yield, the driver tried bribing him instead. But all his innuendos failed and the unrelenting officer still presented him with a ticket.
Senator JV Ejercito has subsequently released a statement on his Facebook account denying any personal or professional connection with the driver, whom he identified as “Jun.”
