British boy choir Libera performs at the PICC on Feb 16

Looks like “holy songs” can still be a hit, judging from the success of the British boy choir, Libera.

Their concerts have sold out in countries like the U.S., the U.K, Singapore, and Japan.  Their albums have also topped the charts.

Not bad for a group whose  songs are usually heard on a Sunday:  “What a Wonderful World,” “Prayer,” and “Amazing Grace.”

Now Libera is back in the Philippines for the fourth time to promote its latest album, “Angel Sings:  Libera in America.”

Their Manila concert will take place on  on February 16 at the PICC Plenary Hall.  This will be followed by another concert at the new Centerstage SM Seaside City Cebu.

Maestro Robert Prizeman leads the choir of fresh-faced Brit boys, described as typical middle school London kids until they start hitting those high notes.
