Kiray Celis has every reason to look forward to the fame and fortune her new movie, Love is Blind, is set to push her way.
But she doesn’t care much about the fame and would rather have the money instead.
This was Kiray’s candid confession in a recent inteview with Rose Garcia for Pep.ph.
“Para sa akin, nandito ako sa showbiz, gusto ko ‘to, pero pera talaga. Kaya ako, naiinis ako minsan sa mga artista na namimili ng proyekto. Kasi ako, kapag meron, grab talaga. Hindi ako namimili. Kung saan may trabaho, dun talaga ako.”
Kiray says she doesn’t care if this would make her sound “mukhang pera,” because it’s true.
“Sino bang tao ang hindi mukhang pera? Lahat ng tao naghahangad at gumagawa ng paran para magkapera.”
The 19-year-old actress has worked in show business since she was three years old, and acts as the breadwinner for their family.
She plays her first lead role in Love is Blind, alongside Derek Ramsay, Solenn Heussaff and Kean Cipriano.
