Shakespeare for the Millennials at the British Festival

Watching a William Shakespeare play can be cool.

The British Festival on February 26 – 28 at the Bonifacio High Street, BGC just might erase boring memories of watching stiff actors in togas mouthing kilometric lines that are hard to understand.

A mixture of British and Pinoy theater artists will do their share at the Festival’s Shakespeare Pavilion.Mini-performances will be a quick intro to first-timers,Then there are excerpts of his Greatest Hits.The Philippine Educational Theater pitches in with its rap-musical William

Says British Ambassador Asif Amad, “You don’t have to be a Literature or English major to understand or enjoy Shakespeare.”

The temptation for Wiki  aside, Shakespeare is still the most Googled playwright on the planet.

To watch or not to watch. That is the question.
