PNoy turns 56, gets ‘rotten cake’ from protesters

President Noynoy Aquino marks his 56th birthday today — but then that doesn’t mean his critics have cut him some slack.

“Urban poor group Kalipunan ng Kadamayang Mahirap (Kadamay) tropped to the Aquino residence in Times Street, Quezon City,” reports ABS-CBN News.

Policemen were already in the area to make sure the protest didn’t get out of control.

The report noted: “Among the protesters was Mameng Daynida who is also celebrating her birthday today. She carried a ‘rotten cake,’ which she said symbolizes the government’s poor services.”

Kadamay cited examples of the Aquino administration’s alleged heartlessness, such as “its veto of a bill seeking PHP2,000 across-the-board increase for pensioners and survivors.”
