Ladies, it’s your turn! ’50 Shades! The Musical Parody’ opens in Makati on Feb 12

“How much fun can you take?”

That’s the come-on of 50 Shades! The Musical Parody to the millions of reader who had been disturbed, provoked,  shocked, or thrilled  by E.L. James romance novel Fifty Shades of Grey.

A lot of the controversy circled around the bondage/submission and sado-masochism elements in the relationship between handsome magnate Christian Grey and his devoted assistant Anastasia Steele.  Some of the reviews called it ‘misyognistic’ and ‘abusive.’

Now the ladies will have their turn with the musical parody which opens in Makati on Feb. 12.  In the play, a women’s book club will read through the novel and give their take on it.

Dance numbers and a live band will heat things up.  Rib-tickling songs like “There’s a Hole Inside of Me” will be  performed by foreign and Pinoy cast members like  Greg Kata, Karel Marquez, Brenna Wahl, Lorenz Martinez, and Bituin Escalante.

The musical parody, which has been a hit in Europe, got a unanimous thumbs-up from Manila audiences during its Feb. 4 press preview.

Things will sizzle on stage, even as they keep you on stitches.

“50 Shades! The Musical Parody” will run on Feb. 12-28 at Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium in RCBC Plaza, Makati City. For more info, click on ticketworld.com.ph.
