1. Lucky 21 Food Products

Lucky 21 has been around for more than five decades and little has changed since. Today is nothing more than a huge takeout window in front of a house on K-3rd. There’s a good chance that their empanadas, empanaditas and savory pies will impress food snobs. At the very least, it will be a sure hit with the Titas of Manila. 2. Analisa’s Crispy Pata

Analisa’s is the go-to place for an easy, no-frills pulutan. Their crispy pata is a beautiful sight. The skin is fried to a perfect golden crisp, and the meat is juicy and tender. It’s almost sinful to see how the meat falls off the bone so easily. Analisa’s is very traditional in its cooking method and approach to selling. 3. Snackaroo

Don’t come here expecting to be treated like royalty. After all, you will only be paying PHP150 for a T-bone or a porterhouse. Snackaroo is always packed, and for a good reason. The steak is their best-seller, but keep in mind that they cook everything well-done unless you instruct them otherwise. Their binalot tuna is pretty good too. Just be ready for the usok and inihaw smell that will stick to your shirt and hair when you dine here — it’s all part of the experience.
