Widow of Tropical Depression’s Papadom found dead in Makati

Teng Santaromana Gamboa — widow of the late reggae artist Dominic ‘Papadom’ Gamboa of the band Tropical Depression — was found dead a day after she was reported missing by concerned friends and family.

“Teng was said to have worked for a business processing outsourcing (BPO) company in Makati, where she was last seen logging out at 2:20am on Wed, Feb 10. However, she failed to come home or answer calls or text messages in her mobile phone. The phone was said to have been turned off,” reports Edwin P. Sallan on InterAksyon.com.

The report noted: “While there are unconfirmed reports that Teng was possibly the victim of a robbery, the alleged crime is still being investigated and no official police report has been released to media as of posting time.”

Meanwhile, the report also quoted Teng’s sister-in-law, Daphne Gamboa-Gorman, who said, “We will provide more details as soon as the family is ready, as we will need the public’s help in identifying those who are responsible.”

“Her body was found dumped on Kalayaan Avenue,” wrote Philippine Daily Inquirer, who was told by a family member quoting Makati police officers.
