Foot Locker has ‘no plans’ to work with Pacman, Wonderful Pistachios has same stance

Hopefully for Manny Pacquiao, this would be it. Surely he won’t be happy if more endorsers or possible business partners drop him.

“In response to a number of tweets urging it to drop Manny Pacquiao as an endorser, sportswear retailer Foot Locker clarified its relationship with the Filipino boxer,” reports Balitang America.

It may be recalled that Pacquiao had two Foot Locker commercials in 2014 and 2015, both of which went viral. The ads had poked fun at his rivalty with Floyd Mayweather Jr. way before their fight was planned.

In a statement, the company stated: “Foot Locker worked with Manny Pacquiao briefly and we are no longer in contract with him and have no plans to work with him.”

Sportswear maker Nike announced it had dropped Pacquiao as its endorser.

ABS-CBN News also reported that the brand, Wonderful Pistachios, had also dropped Pacquiao. The company’s spokesperson Jennifer George has stated in a report by USA Today Sports, “Wonderful Pistachios is not currently affiliated with Manny Pacquiao nor do his views align with ours. Wonderful Pistachios stands firmly for diversity and equality and we proudly support marriage equality and inclusion around the world.”
