Experience the dirty tricks of PH politics through card game Politricks

Politics is a game. And Politricks? Well, it’s a card game. Both can get equally unpredictable, dramatic and downright dirty.

Creators PJ Lim and RB Ting created Politricks to explain the realities of our country’s political fiasco in a fun, millennial way.

With 104 cards in the deck, the game is much like Monopoly Deal, and the objective is to win the most number of votes before “elections”, when the game ends.

Things like trapos, riding in tandem, lifestyle check and fleeing to another country are all involved.

We particularly like the pork barrel scam card in reference to the PHP10 billion scam involving Janet Napoles.

Playing Politricks will bring out the dirty, corrupt, dishonorable, and unprincipled politician in you. And it’s gonna be infuriating to see other players be equally evil.

The genius of this game is in the details. It looks like the creators paid attention to the soap opera events of our country’s political timeline.

Plus points for beautiful art and high quality cards all made in the Philippines.

The game was released just in time for elections. It’s a good eye-opener that can remind voters of all the dirty tricks that politicians pull just to win.

You may purchase Politricks for PHP490 through their Facebook page. It is also available in various boardgame shops and online store.
