Celebrate ‘Draw a Bird Day’ with the Haribon Foundation

Draw a bird day is a thing, and it’s happening on Apr 8.

In case you haven’t heard about it yet, it’s a day when people draw birds and share them on social media.

What for, you ask? It’s a yearly project of the Haribon Foundation. In a nutshell, it reminds people to celebrate and appreciate the beauty of birds.

Don’t worry, you don’t need to be an artist to participate. Quick doodles and drawings will do. Kids will particularly enjoy drawing birds they see in their neighborhood.

For those looking for something more challenging, Haribon Foundation would love to see artistic representations of species endemic to the country, like the Philippine Eagle.

Projects like this aim to support and encourage environmentally-sound policies and actions. Let’s do our part in keeping the world a safe place for birds, one drawing at a time.

Don’t forget to use the hashtag #DrawaBirdDay and #DABday when you upload your photos!

Draw a bird you see in your neighborhood, or a special one like the Haring Ibon or Philippine Eagle, and share them online with the hashtags #DrawABirdDay and #DABday.

People of all ages and levels are invited to draw birds on Draw-A-Bird-Day on April 8!
