What a fantastic way to combine reading and travel!
In celebration of Buwan ng Panitikan, The National Book Development Board organized a 3-day Pinoy bookstore tour, with stops in Metro Manila, Pampanga, Bulacan and Baguio.
Finalists and winners of the National Book Awards will give talks in the event. Expect poetry reading, book signing, and casual discussions about Pinoy literature. Bookstore owners will also give tips on how to run a business like theirs.
Egay Samar, Manix Abrera, F. Sionil Jose, Bebang Siy and many other Pinoy literature icons will be there.
On Apr 8, the stops will be Solidaridad Bookshop, artbooks.ph, and Uno Morato. Pandayan Bookshop in Bulacan and Orchids Bookstore in Pampanga are scheduled for Apr 9. On the last day, Apr 10, there’s only one stop, Mt. Cloud Bookshop in Baguio.
Sounds loads of fun, right? But things get even better. The National Book Development Board will take care of the transportation costs. You just have to make arrangements for lodging.
