Marian Rivera can’t understand why her five-year-old rift with Heart Evangelista has not been completely laid to rest. “Hindi pa rin tapos,” the actress told Rose Garcia of Pep during a press conference on Thurs, Apr 7.
The two actresses had a falling out in 2011, after they filmed the movie Temptation Island. The rift even resulted to Heart’s mother Cecile Ongpauco allegedly confronting Marian at the airport.
But Marian said she has already forgiven Heart–specifically, when they saw each other at a tribute show for Dolphy in 2012
“Lumapit na siya sa akin, e. The mere fact na lumapit na siya sa akin, pinatawad ko na siya. So, wala nang dahilan sa mga isyu na ‘yan. Kaya nagtataka ako bakit paulit-ulit, paulit-ulit na nabubuhay,” she said.
This is probably a reaction to Heart’s most recent interview, where the actress said she’s ready to mend fences with those she had a misunderstanding with.
In any case, Marian said she chooses to remain positive despite the intrigues. She is, after all, now a mother to baby Letizia. The 31-year-old actress also has two upcoming TV projects: the reboot of the fantasy show Encantadia and a morning show.
As with most problems in showbiz, it’s really best to let bygones be bygones.
