Heart defends Chiz from people who say he sounds ‘robotic,’ compares him to Waze

We all know what you think of political candidate Chiz Escudero’s voice — that it sounds robotic, fake and insincere. But at least one person thinks otherwise, his wife Heart Evangelista.

We almost feel sorry for her, LOL.

#SayChiz be like a flowing water. Only through its softness that it breaks the rock, and finds itself in the immensity of the sea.

On Instagram, she posted a quote by a certain J. Guiang, “Tulad ng waze gusto mo man o ayaw ang boses na nagsasalita sa app, dadalhin ka naman niya sa destinasyon na hangad mong puntahan.”

Actually, in case she hasn’t heard, there have been numerous complaints about how Waze tends to lead motortists through circuitious routes when a simple A-to-B direction would suffice.

Also, if you don’t happen to like the voice recording on your Waze app, you can actually change it to something more desirable. FYI lang po.

In any case, what boggles our mind, more than who the holy-f is J Guiang, is the caption that accompanied Heart’s post: “#SayChiz be like a flowing water. Only through its softness that it breaks the rock, and finds itself in the immensity of the sea.”

Say whut?

In another post, Evangelista showed a meme depicting her husband as a Waze app (see lead photo). She wrote this caption: “Because it’s a non-issue. Wala sa tono ng salita. Nasa gawa (One is not judged by his tone of voice but through his deeds).”

Background: In case you have been living under the rock, Escudero made headlines for the wrong reason during the PiliPinas 2016 Vice Presidential Debate at the University of Santo Tomas Apr 10 because of his elocution on stage, which sounded like he was at a Linggo ng Wika event.

And oh, if you’re curious how Chiz Escudero sounds like when he is not channeling the spirit of a robot, listen to this podcast interiew in Dec 2014. He actually sounds like a humanoid here.
