Sneak peek: Ayala Land’s Seda Lio in El Nido, Palawan

Part of El Nido’s charm is its quiet, small-city vibe. It attracts backpackers and travellers who love to spend relaxing afternoons close to nature. The place is known for its unspoiled and unexploited beaches. No mega-resorts, just small inns and B&Bs.

But the once-deserted paradise is getting attention, and it comes as no surprise that companies would want to build properties there.

Enter Seda Lio, Ayala Land’s tourism estate development in the municipality of El Nido.

It’s a 150-room resort just 40 meters away from the shores of Lio town, located in Bgy Villa Libertad.

According to Ayala Land’s site, “Seda Lio will also include a viewing deck in its lobby and lounge, all-day dining and pool bar, fitness gym, kid-friendly spaces, function rooms, spa villas, and a 1,800 sqm pool area.”

Thankfully, the property is said to be following Lio’s strict guidelines for sustainable development. It only has three floors to ensure that it will not go above the coconuts trees.

We’re hoping that the development won’t harm El Nido’s pristine beaches and diverse wildlife.

The photos below were posted to Ayala Land’s page on Apr 5. Seda Lio is set to open on summer 2017.
