The showbiz baby boom continues!
Toni Gonzaga, months after she was first reported pregnant, finally confirmed that she is expecting her first child with husband Paul Soriano.
“It took me some time kasi I was waiting for my doctor’s approval, na it’s a go that I can finally say I am pregnant!” she said on the ABS-CBN variety ASAP on Sun, Apr 17.
“I am so happy that, finally, our love story ay nagbunga na,” Toni added.
The 32-year-old actress also showed the ultrasound of her unborn baby on ASAP.
Toni and Paul married June last year. In interviews a few months after their wedding, Toni said they aren’t planning to have a baby just yet as she was set to star in a soap opera with Piolo Pascual.
But early this year, before reports of her pregnancy, Toni said she wants “to be the best wife on 2016.” No official word from ABS-CBN yet on the fate of Toni’s show with Piolo, but reports say it has been shelved indefinitely.
Toni is the latest celebrity to announce her pregnancy, following the likes of Kean Cipriano and Chynna Ortaleza, Iya Villania and Drew Arellano, and Oyo Boy Sotto and Kristine Hermosa.
As much as we’d want to see Toni and Piolo together again, we have to admit we’re more excited to see Toni and Paul’s baby. Congratulations, guys!
