Airport employee died of heat stroke

When state weather bureau PAGASA warned us that the country’s heat index reached a dangerous level, they weren’t kidding.

A wheelchair attendant at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2 died due to suspected heat stroke, ABS-CBN News reports.

Elmer Limon, 39, was found sprawled on Bay 45 on Friday afternoon. He had complained of dizziness and heat.

According to the airport doctor Dr. Loren Purisima, first aid was administered on Limon before he was rushed to San Juan de Dios Hospital. His vital signs never recovered.

His cause of death was cardio-respiratory arrest.
