After getting slammed for helicopter issue, Kris shows us how much tax she paid

With an Instagram post about her money, Kris Aquino reminded us that Kris is Kris.

Host-actress and presidential sister took to Instagram to show us that she is an honest taxpayer. She received online hate after a report said that she rode in the presidential chopper with her brother, President Noynoy Aquino for campaign and politicking.

In her post on Sunday night, the Queen of All Media posted how much income tax she paid to the Bureau of Internal Revenue from 2008 to 2015. She used the hashtags #TRUTH and #HonestTaxpayer.

In the last eight years, she shelled out a total of PHP322,098,558.74. She was the number one taxpayer in 2011, when she paid PHP49,871,657 in income taxes.

The post drew mixed reactions. Netizens are saying that paying taxes does not justify the use of the presidential chopper.

Kris followed up the post with a quote about family. She said that in the past week, she and her brother Noy “were given the chance to show each other just how much we love, appreciate, and are willing to stand by each other.”
