Cavite City resident Jenny Guinto is 50 but she sure doesn’t look her age. She could easily pass for someone who is decades younger. Guinto — a former Binibining Pilipinas candidate who appeared in action films in the 1980s (screen name: Jenny Varga) — will represent the Philippines in the Mrs. Universe 2016 pageant to be held in China later this year.
“Guinto was chosen by Gareth Blanco, franchise holder for Mrs. Universe Philippines contest, from several candidates who applied to be the country’s representative to the pageant. The pageant will run from August 26 to the coronation night on September 26,” reports Robert R. Requintina in Manila Bulletin.
The report noted: “During the preliminary round of the contest in China, Guinto is expected to take part in a forum on domestic violence.”
