Duterte jokes about Viagra use in Makati Business Club speech

Well, as always, he gave a great show.

On Wed, Apr 27, Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte gave a speech to members of Makati Business Club and gave them something to talk about.

Aside from his usual spiel about fighting crime and cracking down on illegal drug trade, Duterte also managed to utter some racy jokes about womanizing and his sex life.

“A few of the attendees of the MBC hosted presidential forum laughed,” reports Trisha Macas on GMA News Online. Good for them.

“Ako, I have this limitation of being a womanizer,” the presidential candidate reportedly said. “Wala naman nakikiaalam sa babae kasi lahat naman may babae talaga. Miski itong kuwarto na ito, let’s say 85 (percent).”

He explained, “Eh hiwalay ako sa asawa ko, annulled. So, hindi naman ako inutil. Hindi naman ako paralyzed. What am I supposed to do with my goddamn thing down there? Let it hang forever? Eh walang kadrama-drama. Umiinom ako ng Viagra, tumitindig naman.  Oh, huwag na tayong magbolahan dito. I am giving it to you raw. Akala ko ba of age tayong dito lahat,” he cracked.

The GMA News Online report noted that, “jokes aside, Duterte then boasted to the business leaders that Davao City is the first to pass the landmark Women Development Code as well as the other programs he set up to empower women.”

Meanwhile an ABS-CBN News report by Warren de Guzman pointed out that Duterte’s talk had gotten “mixed reviews” from MBC members.

MBC chairman Ramon del Rosario Jr. who also serves as president and CEO of Philippine Investment Management Inc, said, “He didn’t speak enough about the issues we wanted to thresh out. We can’t argue with his priorities of education, health and agriculture.”

For his part, Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co Chairman Manuel Pangilinan said, “This was the first time for me to hear him speak. He seems okay. But I can’t say much else.”

But, perhaps, it was Veterans Bank chairman and former finance secretary Roberto de Ocampo who had the best reaction: “He didn’t speak much about economics, but if he stood there speaking about credit ratings and what not it would be out of character. In terms of reducing projects I think what he really meant was he wants to prioritize education.”

Duterte is the third presidential candidate to have a dialogue with the MBC. The first two were Senator Grace Poe and former Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Mar Roxas.
