How can a mother stomach pimping her own daughters?

For USD25 to USD75, a mother from Calabanga in Camarines Sur sold her daughters aged 7, 9 and 11 to pedophiles she met through an online pornography website. She used Yahoo Messenger and Skype to lure clients, Inquirer reports.

With a tip from the United States-based National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, the Philippine National Police’s Anti-Cybercrime Group arrested the mother at her house on Apr 27, Wednesday night.

She was caught in the act of selling her eldest daughter for cybersex.

Most of the clients were from the US, Australia, Europe and other parts of Asia.

Also recovered from her house were two laptops, six cell phones, a router, a canopy antenna, and remittance receipts from her clients.

The woman was charged with child pornography under the Cybercrime Prevention Act, the Anti-Child Abuse Act and the Expanded Anti-Trafficking Act.

Her three daughters, as well as her one-year-old son, are now with local social welfare workers for safekeeping.
